The mission statement at Finish Strong Studio is to promote the mental and physical well-being of busy individuals. Since  every body is different, your experience at Finish Strong will be unique from every other person as you take care of the temple you have been given. At Finish Strong, your yoga practice and fitness training will continue after you leave the studio. As you are given the tools to reach your goals and enhance your life experiences, you will feel empowered, both mentally and physically. You will leave each class as if you have just had the most amazing battle that challenged every muscle in your body and your mind. At each class, you will be challenged to FINISH STRONG!

 

DeDe Groves

DeDe Groves has been practicing yoga for over 13 years.  Her first experience with yoga was a power yoga DVD of Bryan Kest.  Since that first practice, she has never looked back.  She received her teacher training in Indianapolis with Peace Through Yoga and became an ACE group fitness instructor shortly after. Her whole life, she has had a passion for fitness.  After years of training with high intensity workouts, DeDe wanted to pursue her life long dream of owning her own fitness studio that combines her love of both yoga and high intensity workouts.  While having a career as a full-time middle school teacher, DeDe pursued many classes around the Indy area and decided that she wanted to bring diversity in fitness to the Crawfordsville area.  She took a leap of faith, gave up her full-time career as a teacher, and began Finish Strong.  She and her sister came up with the name of the studio as DeDe was working two full-time jobs getting the business off the ground.  When she would get tired or discouraged, her sister would always send an uplifting text that said, "Finish Strong."  Hence, the name!  DeDe hopes to encourage and share her love of fitness with everyone she comes in contact with.

Brook’s first big impact by yoga was in DeDe Groves’ power yoga and again in her hot yoga class. Brook was surprised how yoga could make such an impact on her life and had to keep practicing. At first, Brook used yoga as a fun physical workout, but quickly found other benefits as well. 

    After practicing a year fully committed Brook, with the encouragement of family, decided to become a certified yoga instructor. She received her certification through Body, Mind and Core located in Carmel, IN. Brook was taught by the amazing Natalie Perez-Hayden in Vinyasa yoga, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga and Prenatal Yoga. She quickly found a passion for teaching Vinyasa, Restorative and Prenatal yoga. Brook has a strong vinyasa practice, but believes restorative yoga is just as important. In Brook’s vinyasa classes you will find beautiful sequences and wonderful adjustments that allow for a deeper practice. Brook’s restorative classes allow her students to find clear minds and deeply relax their bodies. Prenatal classes will consist of a slower flow to allow for easier movement and allow for connection to your baby.
